English Golden Retrievers

It all begins with quality over quantity

At NTX Goldens, we only have a handful of breeding English Golden Retrievers as they live in our home as part of the family (along with a couple rescue dogs). Having very few breeding Retrievers means we only have 1-2 litters a year. That's why it all begins with quality over quantity. We breed to better the breed. Each Retriever has a long AKC registered name and a go-by name. Our Retrievers are either Champions themselves or come from championship bloodlines. Each retriever was hand-selected not only for their incredible pedigrees and wonderful temperament, but for their genetic clearances. Pedigrees, genetic testing results, and lineage for our English Golden Retrievers can be found at the K9Data link posted in each of their descriptions below. Thousands of pics and videos can be found on our Facebook page. Follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information, photos, and videos.

Our Breeding Studs and Dams

We breed our Retrievers once they've reached the age of two and have been fully health tested as per the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) and American Kennel Club (AKC) Code of Ethics. Genetic, PennHIP, and OFA testing is completed on all our breeding Retrievers. K9Data is a comprehensive site that tracks lineage and testing for generations. We've included that link for each of our retrievers. In addition, each Retriever has been tested for the eight common genetic deficiencies, along with PennHIP and OFA's.

Ricochet - July 2022 3_edited.jpg

IntCH Ricochet was named after one of our favorite pro-wrestlers and the mascot of our local high school. Ricochet obviously comes from a very healthy imported championship bloodline. I mean, just look at him. He has that loving personality you look for in a Golden. Always eager to please and well mannered. Ricochet has a distinctive black spot on his tongue. While having a thin build from plenty of exercise, he has a big blocky head, short snout, and beautiful dirty blonde coat.

In May 2021, Ricochet earned his International Championship at the Lone Star Spring Sieger. He is ALL CLEAR of the seven common Golden Retriever Genetic Deficiencies, and has PennHIP and all OFA testing. completed.

Dam, NTX Goldens Lucy In The Sky

Go-by Name: Sky
DOB: 04/28/2019

Sky came to us the same way Rudy did, by way of Tennessee. She is our diamond in the rough. Makes you want to sing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". Sky comes from a very impressive imported championship bloodline out of Russia and Hungary. Sky loves to play with Rudy because they are half-siblings (same Sire, different Dam). When not tied to her brother's hip, you can find Sky in the yard running tracks trying to kick up flying bugs to chase or looking at shadows. She will chase shadows around almost like she's part cat. She has no problem crawling up into your lap and laying across you whether you like it or not. While smaller in stature then the rest of our Retrievers, Sky has the whitest coat of the bunch. She is the half-sister our Stud, Rudy.

Sky has not had the opportunity to earn her championship. She always seems to be pregnant every time a show comes into the area. Sky is not affected by any of the seven common Golden Retriever Genetic Deficiencies, and has PennHIP and all OFA testing. completed.

Our Future Studs and Dams

Here at NTX Goldens, our Dams are only bred from two years of age into their fifth birthday. We start around two years old because OFA and PennHIP testing must be completed on or after 24 months of age. That's the breed standard. We stop breeding during their fifth year as we feel they'll have around another ten years of life, and deserve to retire and live a full comfortable life. We also know their are families out there that would love to have a trained adult Golden Retriever, rather then go through the puppy phase.

For those reasons, we will always have future Studs and Dams coming up through the pipeline. Some will pass all testing and go on to be bred, while others may not and will be considered for re-homing. If you follow our Facebook page, you'll see all of these future superstars grow up before your eyes.

NTX Goldens Ride Along Sally

Animal%20footprint%20_edited.png

Go-by Name: Sally
DOB: 09/04/2021

NnrBA, IntBA, and NatBA Sally came to us by way of Iowa. She was born while we were in Florida picking up another mustang (a car, not a horse). Since "Mustang Sally" is little cliche, we decided to go with "Ride Along Sally" instead.  Sally comes from a very impressive imported championship bloodline which includes DewMist and Tramin. She loves playing mom when we other litters of puppies. Her favorite toy was her long legged cow. It has seen better days.

As you can see, even as a baby Sally earned Championship after Championship. Sally is ALL CLEAR of the seven common Golden Retriever Genetic Deficiencies. Her OFA scores are pending. She's just not old enough to complete them, but we will do preliminary OFA Hips along with PennHIP at 12 months to ensure she is on the right path.

We are always asked what we feed our Retrievers. Here at NTX Goldens, we exclusively feed all our Retrievers pawTree dog food. Why pawTree? First, it's made in the USA. Second, our Retrievers love it. They became picky eaters with our previous dog food. Once we switched to pawTree, they're no longer picky and gobble down every last piece. Plus, there's flavor packets to sprinkle on the food to make it taste different. This gives our Retrievers a variety of taste with the confidence knowing that we are fueling their bodies with the proper nutrition needed to support optimal health and vitality. But pawTree doesn't just stop at dog food and seasonings. They also have health and wellness products, treats, gifts, grooming line, Paw Club, etc...
